So there we have it, mine and Ryan’s travels are over. We’re back on British soil and have spent the last couple of weeks catching up with friends and family and reminiscing on our 14 months away.
Our last month travelling was spent in Bali, mainly because of how cheap it is there, but also for the beautiful views and the Bintang beer!
For our first 2 weeks in Bali we stayed at The Visala Boutique Suites and couldn’t have had a better stay. It was a small, quiet hotel but we absolutely loved how intimate it was. The staff were extremely friendly and we would definitely go back there!
We spent our time wandering the tourist town of Seminyak, soaking up the sun and hitting the local bars.
We also met up with the sister of a friend we met in Australia; her name was Rachel and she was travelling Bali alone. It was nice to have another girl to spend a bit of time with; we got our nails done (gels, for £5 I might add!!) and spent a day at Potato Head Beach Club.
Our time in Bali was sweet, apart from the fact that we felt 4 Earthquakes whilst there! Luckily none that were big enough in our area to cause any major damage; but still scary nonetheless!
Here’s a couple pictures from our time in Bali where we basically ate, drank and soaked up the sun. Bliss!
Since being home Ryan and I have caught up with loved ones and tried to settle back into old routines – which is bloody hard I can tell you!
We’re both unsure of what we want to do career wise and aren’t used to not having a plan of action; it’s a very strange situation to be in. I don’t think I’ve ever felt so lost, but the only way is up from here. We just need to pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off and get back into the swing of things.
I can’t really see us being settled by Christmas time (which is a shame as it’s my FAVE time of year) but we shouldn’t be too far off! Positive mental attitude and all that!
Then I can start focusing on blogging for the fun that is fashion – can I get a hallelujah?!
‘Til next time!
